For exemple, the Vanguard series are very enduring ships (QT fuel), will the Redeemer also be a long range gunship? That we do not know yet. There are also many other aspects to consider. You'll also need one crew/blade to use the turret of the Vanguard. Right now this is the Battle Upgrade Kit (BUK) system, not ingame yet, and soon(tm) to be replaced by some combo module system. Sure it lacks the raw dps of the Redeemer, but you can (later) make your own custom Vanguard, taking parts from a Harbinger, a Sentinel, a Warden as you see fit. With that in mind, the Redeemer will be my choice over the Vanguard for pure DPS, no second thought.īut the Vanguard has modularity. To be honest it can be an issue during alpha, if you struggle finding ppl to crew your ship, but once the game is live there will be crew npc and/or AI turrets so you can still run the ship solo with full firepower. Without a crew or blades (AI turrets), the firepower of the Redeemer will be limited (well it is still 2 front S4, quite a punch). I would say take both, but that is not what you are asking )
